Everest High Passes Trek is perfectly ideal for adventure lovers who wish to get involved in challenging situations and high climbs. Along with some of the most beautiful places in the Everest Himalayan Region of Nepal such as Gokyo [4,800 m/15,748 ft], Gorakshep [5,140 m/16,863 ft.], Everest Base Camp [5,364 m/17,598 ft.] and Kalapatthar [5,545m/18,192ft], the course also lets you climb two of the high passes in the region; Cho La Pass [5,367 m/17,608 ft.] and Renjo La Pass [5,340 m/17,519 ft]. These passes are quite high in elevation. High enough to provide overwhelming views to its summiters. Thus, this is how the journey gets its name Everest High Passes Trek. As you already know, the Everest Himalayan Region is the most popular region for tourism purposes in the country.

The Cho La Pass is a part of the beauty in the Gokyo trail. It’s only a little higher than the other pass in the journey. Yes, as mentioned earlier, the tour provides you access to two of the most beautiful and highest passes in the country during the same trekking period. This aspect is something that has made it magnetic to exploratory adventure lovers from all around the world. Climbing of the pass can get quite complicated at times as the edge of Ngozumpa Glacier that comes on the way to the summit. Furthermore, the summit is known to be slippery too. However, with right kind of equipment, we have been succeeding in climbing them at a very high rate.

A great part of the trek is also the Renjo La Pass which is slightly shorter than the Cho La Pass. Equally mesmerizing, the summit offers views of dynamic range of the Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Makalu. The pass can also get slippery at times due to the same reason of instability. After all, no matter how difficult it gets, life is always beautiful, and so is Nepal.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

    Arrive in Tribhuvan International Airport [Kathmandu] and transfer you to your hotel.where you will have your time to getsettled and freshen up. After that you will be asked to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will have meeting with your trekking guide and discuss about the equipment needed for the trekking.If you arrive at night we will have same discussion in next day morning after your breakfast.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

    Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley including some of the major places of the city such as Pashupatinath temple, Durbar Squares, Swayambhunath and Boudha Gumba that have been declared as World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. Back to the hotel in the evening to stay overnight.

  • Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla [2,860/9,383ft] – Phakding [2,610m/8,561ft]

    Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla that takes about 40 minutes scenic flight.views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m), Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and the Mount Kwongde Range. We then take an easy walk for about two hours to Phakding village fo views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m), Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and the Mount Kwongde Range. And than we will have to walk for about two hours to Phakding village for and further trek to Phakding that takes about 3 – 4 hours. Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar [3,440m/11,286ft]

    Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar that takes about 4-5 hours. Following the Dudh Koshi valley north, meandering through the pines, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. Along the way you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek in a teahouse.

  • Day 05: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

    Acclimatization is an important part of trekking. Namche Bazzar is one of the most attractive settlements in the khumbu region. It is an ideal place to spend a rest day for acclimatization at a high altitude before heading off. We will have a full day rest so that we won't face any problem ahead. Today we make a short acclimatization trek up to Khumjung, a delightful Sherpa village above Namche. You will have full day leisure. Where you can enjoy splendid view of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Kwangde, Tawche, Lhotse and so on or stroll around the market.

  • Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Thame(3750m)

    Trek from Namche Bazaar to Thame that takes about 5- 6 hours. Thame is at the end of Khumbu Valley and iconic value of Thame is its terrain the people which are untouched by the effects of modern civilization. Stay overnight at Thame.

  • Day 07: Thame to Lungden (4500m)

    Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche that takes about 5 – 6 hours.During the walking you can observe varieties of plants and animals with unique Sherpa culture. Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 08: Lungden – Renjola Pass (5415m) – Gokyo Lake (4750m)

    Trek from Lungden to Renjola Pass that takes about 7-8 hours. the valley past the first lake, known as Longpongo at 4690m, where we get chance to observe the Lama footprints on a stone. The second lake, Taboche Tsho mesmerizes us by the shimmering turquoise blue sheet of water sparkling in the sun. Little we reach the third lake, called Dudh Pokhari, linked by a surging stream to the previous one.

  • Day 09: – Gokyo Lake explore around

    Spend a day in Gokyo looking around the lakes and hiking up to some of the mountain viewpoints nearby. Start your trek in morning and get to steep climb of about 30min to reach the top with its traditional prayer flags. View the Ngozumpa glacier, the biggest glacier of Nepal. Definitely we would not miss the chance to observe the fourth lake

  • Day 10: Trekking down to Thangnak (4700m)

    Trek down to Thangnak, enjoying superb view of Gokyo Lake. We will cross Gokyo glacier, about 4 hour working down to Thangnak. Stay overnight at Thangnak.

  • Day 11: Thangnak - Cho La (5330m) crossing to Dzonglha (4830m)

    On the way you will be able to experience the best part of your hiking; difficult but very worthy. In good weather you can cross the Cho La with no special equipments but warm clothing and an ice axe might provide added peace to mind. Stay overnight at the village of Dzongla.

  • Day 12: Dzongla to Lobuche (4910m)

    Trek from Dzongla to Lobuche takes 4-5 hours.The first step is gentle stroll between snowy peaks that seem almost close enough to touch.On the way you can see Dughla Lake. Stark and rugged beauty creates almost moonscape campsite at Lobuche a wind swept collection of huts tucked in a narrow meadow between the glacier and the Lobuche peak.

  • Day 13: Lobuche to Gorakshep (5170m), trekking to Everest Base camp (5364m) back to Gorakshep (5170m)

    Along windy and rocky path with the wonderful view of Mt. Pumori, Nuptse and other magnificent peaks, we reach Gorakshep. Gorakshep is the location of the original Everest Base Camp with the new camp being further up the valley.After lunch our adventure continues towards Everest Base Camp. We explore base camp and its surroundings glacier and return back to Gorakshep.

  • Day 14: Gorak Shep trekking Kala Patthar (5545m) and back to Lobuche (4940m)

    Mornings are usually sparkling and clear and this is the best time to climb the Kalapathar for one of the world's definitive mountain views. We will be rewarded the 360 degree dramatic panorama views of Mt Everest and surroundings mountains like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbetse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku along with many other peaks. You will have an easy walk for about 2hrs to reach Lobuche.

  • Day 15: Lobuche to - Khongma La Pass (5535m) – Chukung (4900m)

    From Lobuche it is easy ascending. You'll enter a wide basin, dotted with small frozen lakes. The trail drops to Khongma la Pass.There are great views across the valley to Island peak and jagged ridge of amphu lapcha (5845m). It is all the way night at Chukung.

  • Day 16: Chhukung to Tengboche (3867m)

    Chhukung to Tengboche (3867m) to the village of Pangboche, the highest year round settlement in the valley. From the view point at the top of the hill, there are views of distinctive peaks like Amadablam (6856m), standing proud of the massif containing Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8501m) and inspiring views of Himalayan giants. We visit the Buddhist Monastery at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.

  • Day 17: Tengboche to Namche (3440m)

    After crossing the suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River trek onwards to the Kyanjuma the junction of the trinity ways to Gokyo Valley, Khumjung village and Namche Bazzar. Dense wildlife of some species of Pheasants, Himalayan Griffons, Musk deer and wild goat can be found abundance inside the rhododendron forest.

  • Day 18: Namche Bazaar trekking back to Lukla (2850m)

    We will work though rhododendron and pine forests with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving Phakding. Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You'll have time to stroll around the local areas.

  • Day 19: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu

    Saying final goodbye to our porters, we will have a flight back to ktm of an exciting one hour. Stay overnight at hotel.

  • Day 20: Kathmandu free day.

    Today is a free day in Kathmandu valley. You are free to have some shopping and enjoy the local streets and life of people. You can have a relax walk over the streets and view the normal living of Nepalese. Also you can buy some memories and gifts for back to your home.

  • Day 21: Final Departure

    With lots of greatful to you, we wish you a safe journey back home and hope to see you very soon again.
