A total of 6 lakes that are highly oligotrophic in nature collectively form the Gokyo Lake System, among which Thonak Lake is the largest one. They lie within 4,700 – 5,000 m / 15,420 – 16,404 ft. of altitude and remain preserved in the Sagarmatha National Park. Before we even describe them in words, we would like to inquire  if you have really seen the pictures of the natural phenomenon. It’s highly insisted that visitors do not litter around the region so that its magnificence remains maintained forever. We visit newer place for exploration and comprehension, and thus it becomes our responsibility to not degrade its eminence.

The Everest Gokyo Lake Trek is also graded as one of the challenging and adventurous trek by nature. Things get complicated when steep climb is required, following with a fit body and a healthy mindset. With no doubt, it adds an advantage to the trek if you have previous experience of any such kind. But even if you don’t, there is nothing that you need to worry about as we have an excellent team of highly trained professional who will be by every side of yours.   • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

    We will meet you at Tribhuwan international airport and transfer you to your hotel.where you will have your time to getsettled and freshen up. After that you will be asked to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will have meeting with your trekking guide and discuss about the equipment needed for the trekking.If you arrive at night we will have same discussion in next day morning after your breakfast.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

    Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu Valley including some of the major places of the city such as Pashupatinath temple, Durbar Squares, Swayambhunath and Boudha Gumba that have been declared as World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. On way back to the hotel you can explore the local areas, gullies and lifestyle.

  • Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla – Phakding [2,652m]

    Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla that takes about 40 minutes scenic flight.views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m), Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and the Mount Kwongde Range. We then take an easy walk for about two hours to Phakding village fo views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m), Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and the Mount Kwongde Range. And than we will have to walk for about two hours to Phakding village for and further trek to Phakding that takes about 3 – 4 hours. Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar [3,440m/11,286ft]

    Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar that takes about 4-5 hours. Following the Dudh Koshi valley north, meandering through the pines, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. Along the way you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek in a teahouse.

  • Day 05: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar

    Acclimatization is an important part of trekking. Namche Bazzar is one of the most attractive settlements in the khumbu region. It is an ideal place to spend a rest day for acclimatization at a high altitude before heading off. We will have a full day rest so that we won't face any problem ahead. Today we make a short acclimatization trek up to Khumjung, a delightful Sherpa village above Namche. You will have full day leisure. Where you can enjoy splendid view of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Kwangde, Tawche, Lhotse and so on or stroll around the market.

  • Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Phortse Village [3500 m]

    Trek from Namche Bazaar to Phortse village that takes about 5-6 hours. On the way we can enjoy wild lives like pheasant, a herd of Himalayan Thar or musk deer. The trail descends slightly towards the Sanasa and then ascends up to Mongla (4000m) from where glimpses of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Tawoche and Mt. Khumbila are awesome. Sherpa regard Mt. Khumbila (5761m) as sacred mountain of the patron god of the Khumbu area. Descending to Dudhkosi Khola (3250 m), we cross a bridge and again trek up passing the rhododendron forest (national flower of Nepal).Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 07: Phortse Village – Machermo [4,410m]

    Trek from Phortse village to Dole that takes about 5 – 6 hours.The trail climbs steeply to Dole, through rhododendron and birch forest. On our way wild lives like pheasants,the mysterious musk deer and mountain goats are amazing. The Dudh Koshi valley feels deep like a canyon with its sheer sides. Walking along the hill side above Dudkoshi passing through some small hamlets and through sandy spurs, we reach Machhermo. Most probably we will be here by our launch.

  • Day 08: Machermo – Gokyo Lake [4,750m]

    Trek from Machermo to Gokyo Lake that takes about 5 – 6 hours. We climb through a ridge Chorten from where we can see remarkable view of both down the valley and of the Mt. Kangtega, Thamserku, and northern part to the Cho-Oyu .After crossing an iron bridge over an stream the trial levels out as it follows the valley past the first lake, known as Longpongo where we get chance to observe the Lama footprints on a stone.The second lake, Taboche Tsho mesmerizes us by the shimmering turquoise blue sheet of water sparkling in the sun. The third lake, called Dudh Pokhari, linked by a surging stream to the previous one. Gokyo village stands by the third lake.Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 9: Gokyo Lake – Gokyo RI [5,340m/17,520ft]

    Climb from Gokyo Lake to Gokyo RI to enjoy beautiful views from the viewpoint. Descend back to Gokyo lake in the evening. Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 10:Gokyo Lake – Dole

    Trek back from Gokyo Lake to Dole that takes about 5 – 6 hours. Start your trek in morning and get to steep climb of about 30min to reach the top with its traditional prayer flags. View the Ngozumpa glacier, the biggest glacier of Nepal. Definitely we would not miss the chance to observe the fourth lake (Thonak Tsho) and fifth lake (Ngozuma Tsho). Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 11: Dole – Namche Bazaar

    Trek back from Dole to Namche Bazaar that takes about 6-7 hours.We arrive in Phortse Thanga and crossing the river over a suspension bridge. We ascend up a sandy slope to the Dudh Kosi River. The route ascends to the valley of Dudh Koshi and down to Khumjung. Finally we reach the Namche valley. Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 12: Namche Bazaar – Phakding

    Trek back from Namche Bazaar to Phakding that takes about 4-5 hours. Although the path is all downhill, the unrelenting slope places massive impact on the knees. Once you cross the high suspension bridge, the path runs mostly level. We will walk through rhododendron and pine forests with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving Phakding. Stay overnight in a teahouse.

  • Day 13: Phakding – Lukla

    Trek back from Phakding to Lukla will be just a 2-3 hr easy and gentle trail back.Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You'll have time to stroll around the local areas. In the evening you can enjoy a typical Nepalese dinner and cultural show.

  • Day 14: Lukla – Kathmandu

    Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu that takes about 30 minutes. Stay overnight in a hotel.

  • Day 15: Final Departure

    Today is free or last minute you have few hour special shopping for your relatives. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. We will drop you to the International airpor tto catch your flight back to your home.We wish you a safe journey back home and hope to see you very soon again.
